Do you provide web hosting?
Fire Web Designs provides a variety of web hosting packages to fit our
customer's needs. Go to our pricing page for details. If you already have an Internet
Service Provider (ISP) like AOL or MSN you
may already have web space for personal use. There are also
several companies that provide free or reduced rate web hosting to certain
organizations. Fire Web Designs will work directly with your ISP or web hosting company to get your site up and running as
quickly as possible.

Can I have a name for my site like
www.mywebsite.com?
What you are talking about is called a domain
name. Fire Web Designs can create any domain name you
choose for your site, including .com, .org, .net, and .biz, provided the
name is not already taken.

How much web space do I need?
The amount of web space that you need is based on your individual
requirements. If you already have and ISP (AOL or MSN, for
example) you probably already have some free web space for personal use. For a personal site, 5Mb to 10Mb of web space is plenty. Check with
your ISP to see if you have space and how much there is. For commercial
sites, larger amounts of space may be required. Fire Web Designs offers
several hosting plans that have adequate space for your
needs.

Shouldn't I find a local company to build my site?
There is no reason you have to use a local web design firm. The
internet is a great resource for finding great deals! Shop around and
compare prices. You will find that we have some of the lowest prices
available. Don't sacrifice quality and money just because you think you
have to use someone local.

There is never any cost for consultation and estimates. There is no
obligation after you contact Fire Web Designs to use us as your design

Why can't I make my own site?
You can. However, our sites are developed using
state of the art graphic software and custom programming. We thoroughly
test our sites so that they will display properly in all of the major
browsers on any screen size. Creating a site that looks good and is functional takes a lot of
time and effort, not to mention knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, Java,
marketing techniques, and graphics requirements for the Internet. Your
time could be better spent running your business or organization, not
worrying about developing the technical portion of your website.

What does the design and implementation process involve?
There are a few steps involved in the web design process:
- After talking with us, you decide what exactly you want in your web
site. This includes pictures, colors, special features, and text. You
also decide on some domain names you may like to purchase.
- Send all of your information to us.
- Fire Web Designs builds your site according to your specifications, tests the site, uploads it
to the Internet, and markets it on the World Wide Web.
- We return the material you sent us, and make any changes you want to
the site.

How long will it take to build my site?
The time between the initial consultation and finished website depends
on both Fire Web Designs and the customer working together. We don't rush the process,
however, we know that time is important. It costs less to go slow and get
it right the first time than to redo an entire site. The turnaround time
will be weeks, not months.

Will you provide service for my site after it's finished?
Fire Web Designs will provide all of the support you need after your
site is up and running. It is crucial to keep you site fresh if you want

What marketing do you provide?
We will incorporate special words and phrases into your web site that
are hidden from view called meta tags.. These will help your web site get noticed by
the search engines. We will also submit your site to the major search
engines and to any specific sites you want. All links on your site are

Can you show me how to update my site?
We will show you some basics for site maintenance. However, for the
same reasons you would not want to build your own site, you really
wouldn't want to try to make major changes to your site. Fire Web Designs
does provide update packages to keep you site new.

Fire Web Designs will refurbish, redesign, or completely overhaul your

Do I have to have a digital camera to provide pictures?
No. You can use any pictures you want for your web site, taken with
any kind of camera. We will always return all materials you send us for
your web site.
